Hi There. Here's my weekly breakdown.
Sunday.
This week our schedule was weird. We had the broadcast so it wasn't a very typical Sunday. I can see from you Dear Elders that everyone saw me on TV. Hope that's a good thing. Haha.
I can't tell you how cool it was to see the 11 apostles...all right in front of me. When they walked in...I just started to tear up. I haven't really seen too many apostles in my life...and the spirit they brought with them was so powerful and just something I couldn't deny. No one else was crying, but I was just overwhelmed with the impression that these were truly the best of men. They have each more than likely had a personal witness of the Savior. They are true servants of the Lord. And I just knew then and there...that it wouldn't have mattered what my mission application had looked like...they would've called me to Tokyo, Japan, because they are inspired and they know that sending me to Japan will change the narrative of my life and hopefully the life of others.
Monday.
Back to class today. Sometimes class it just too long and it drags.
I've been thinking alot about home and the future today. Yesterday at the broadcast I saw families and people without badges. It was such a strange sight. But it made me miss my own family. And alot of the missionaries ran into their own families there...so I was sort of jealous.
Tuesday.
Today was cool. We played soccer this morning. I still got some skills.
Tonight we had a Janice Kapp Perry devotional. It was so cool! She had us sing her songs and medleys of them during the devotional. I wrote a long letter to you about it this week. I hope you get it soon. She reminded me of Grandma alot.
I'm glad the boys got my letters. The priesthood is such a beautiful blessing. I hope they realize that.I thought it was funny that they said they were "private" though haha.
Wednesday.
Today went by super fast. I can't believe it is about to be Thursday again. Time is super warped. We got new kohai (newbies) today so I am no officially Sempi. At week six I'll be Dai Sempi. I already feel like an MTC pro though. I've seen groups come and go in the time period I've been here. Oh happy 4th of July to yall for next week! My month-aversary will be Friday!
Our lesson with out kyudosha Shohei went well today. I was the scripture leader today when we read scriptures. I chose Mosiah 2 because I think KIng Benjamin is a boss. Hmmm what else. Still pretty gassy. Looking forward to your package Mom. Oh also I've recieved letters from the entire Sirmans clan. Can you send me addresses?
Thursday.
Got your package today. You should have 5-6 letters on their way. The alarm clock was totemo kawaii! (super cute) but Olsen choro (of course) also thought it was cool and set the alarm on it, it went off in class!! ugh!!!
Friday.
Today I met someone who is here for 12 weeks. Going to a Tahitian-french mission. So 2 languages. Ouch! I'm getting nervous about our Visas. All the portuguese people I've met who's visas haven't come in are still stuck here. Speaking of Visas, I saw Jed this week. His visa was late so he got assigned to the Provo MTC. It's strange to think I'm actually on my mission right now or that when I leave I'll be 2 months down.
Today we had a Nihon jin sensei. I personally loved it. I thought it was the most instructive lesson we've had. If he was our permanant teacher, we'd be fluent in Nihongo in no time. He reminded me alot of Calc II at tech. It was like i was in recitation and the TA just didn't speak English. You learn what he's saying from context clues lol. Also feeling confused...reminded me of Tech. It was nice. Haha
I miss you guys like crazy.
Hugs and kisses. Will try and upload pics!
Love, Goose.
