Herro. I will be a Transfer 3 Missionary next time you hear from me. Crazy right??
Japan is good. It truly is experiencing earthquakes in diverse places. Along with the typhoon this week, there was an earthquake during church. It is just becoming a normal part of life now.
Today I am fasting...on PDAY. Our mission is doing a 40 day fast (each area one day) so that we can see a "WHITE CHRISTMAS" (get it, white christmas...as is alot of baptisms ;)) We want each area to see a baptism by Christmas! Yachiyo is first to start off this fast. We have been encouraged to invite our families in fasting for every area to see a baptism as well!
This week was kind of slow....the weather was super bad. It was hard to dendo. In between typhoons though it was gorgeous. Around Thursday though it got SUPA COLD! No lie. So cold. And then the rain came back yesterday. Agh...
On Friday though, we taught 5 lessons and then 4 on Saturday. I don't know how...but seriously...in between appointments we would literally run into investigators on the street. This happened 3 times. SO crazy. There are millions of people living in Yachiyo and we just run into our investigators on the train and things randomly. Kiseki ne? Miracle!
I did training in district meeting this week. That was an adventure. I think I managed to do alright though. I was able to use alot of new material from conference. So that was cool.
We taught Eikwaiwa on Wednesday like normal. I'm going to miss teaching with Stembridge choro. It is always so fun teaching our class. We both really love our students. I think our class is the most popular. It keeps growing! We have seen our numbers really increase recently. The students still crack me up. They love the games at the end. Sometimes we play "Do you love your neighbor" in English or we play "Spelling" games. They are so competative. It is adorable.
This next week is super busy. Today is PDAY and then tomorrow is Temple Day. We have sister training afterwards. We might also have an exchange this week. I'm not sure. And then appointments....and then next Monday is transfer call day.
I'm more anxious about transfer calls this transfer because we are pretty positive we are getting a call. Taneda shimai is actually packing up her stuff right now. She's been in Yachiyo for 4 1/2 months now. I too, am anxious. Anything could happen this transfer. There ar e 13 new shimaitachi coming in...and then 13 from last transfer that still have to have follow up trainers. I am not wanting to train really. Being sempai seems stressful. We keep speculating what will happen. I am 50/50. It would be nice to stay in Yachiyo. From what I've seen...it is the nicest apartment in the mission by far. It is also conveniently located to my favorite bakery, Peater Pan. Also, the church is a 2 minute walk, I know the members, I know the area, I know the investigators....shopping is good and convenient. We are 2 minutes from the nearest eki (train station) and I'm close with the members.
On the other hand. If I'm here another transfer...well if I train then I'm probably going to be here a long time. I don't want to stay in one area my whole mission. Some missionaries seriously are transferred EVERY Transfer. I feel like that could be really hard. But then....other missionaries are NEVER transferred. That sounds equally challenging and boring. I want to see alot on my mission and meet alot of people!
There is the chance that I do doki dendo (or become paired with someone the same transfer as me). MY doki was massive and so are all the dokis after me....It is actually a problem because all the 11/12 transfer shimaitachi are leaving now....and there are not enough people to train the new missionaries since the mission split. We have 5 STL leaving. Since the split, there are no missionaries in the middle. Theres 5 leaving now, then next transfer 2 leaving, then Taneda shimai is the oldest missionary and she leaves in April. So basically every sister in the mission has been out less than 6 transfers. Which is nuts.
Anyways. I WILL keep you updated. I love you guys.
AI shite ALWAYS!
