Konnichiwa!
So what do you think of this letter? Is it Japanese enough? I finally bough some real stationary. I thought this was pretty. Anyways....my doryo is running around the apartment screaming at a bug in Japanese. I think she is trying to kill it....but then again I never really know what is going on. Anyways....life is good. Japanese is hard. Sometimes I don't really know what I am doing out here halfway across the world but usually I really feel like I am exactly where I should be. It's been another long p-day. I got my skirt caught in my tire and it messed up my brakes. I had to go get my brakes fixed. The guy did it for free. He was really nice. It is really hot and humid right now in Japan! How's Georgia? North Georgia is always really nice in the fall....
I'm eating Japanese milk chocolate right now. It is pretty good. I'm pretty skeptical to try new things here lol......it is always an adventure.
I can't think of anything to complain about. I am starting to accept that this is my life. I might go get a translator next week. I think it would help with just basic things. I continue to set personal goals. I finished the Book of Mormon again this week. I continue to learn more every time I read it. I'm in first Nephi again now....and I just think its so cool how Nephi saw so many great things in the vision he had. It even talks about the finding of America and how it was of God and that God was with the patriots. (chapter 13) That must've been so neat to see. I'm also reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish and Japanese. Reading in Japanese is hard and hurts my head. I don't know why I am reading it in Spanish. I haven't had to use it much but I suppose have some gospel terms won't hurt to have. I wonder if I am going to go anywhere next transfer. I kind of want to go to Shibuya. That is downtown Tokyo and home to the busiest intersection in the world. It is also host to the most expensive missionary apartment in the world (sisters) and the 2nd most expensive missionary apartment (elders). I'm just such a city girl. It would be fun to go there. Yachiyo is no countryside. It is very much downtown/city. It kind of reminds me of a more ghetto Atlanta, which is ironic because there are no ghettos in Japan. So I guess what I mean is that it is not as modern. Anyways, I love you. I will write next week!
Love,
Goose
