Konnichiwa!
I'm officially a transfer 5 missionary. I will be hitting my 9 month
mark this transfer. So crazy.
Anyways. So this week was good.
As always, Sunday was exciting.
On Monday we met Rina for dinner and then Snow shimai came up with her
companion. They stayed the night and went to the temple with us the
next day.
Tuesday was temple Pday. It was good.
On Wednesday we got a call from this Phillipino lady named
E-----. She talks alot. Actually all of my investigators....talk alot.
I think they send people that need to learn to listen to the English
ward. That is pretty much what I've learned to do...just listen. And
then try to sneak in a gospel message. I'm trying to find out how to
be more effective...but it is just...talking and talking...all the
time.
Anyways. Thursday was good. We met with a sister in the relief society
presidency. We talked about some less actives and then she gave us a
referral. That was nice.
On Friday we had a district meeting and then district lunch. We went
to Sukiya this place that serves mainly meat and rice. It is actually
really good. There is this dish called a Kingsize...and the Elders always
order this thing and they make themselves sick. Well Callister
shimai and I volunteered to order this dish, but I accidentally
ordered the wrong size, which was the MEGA size right underneath the
kingsize...and I ate it all....and I made myself sooooooooo
sick... we had to come back to the apartment and make phone
calls because I was feeling really bad. That was REALLY dumb on my
part. We went to visit an investigator later that night. Not
home...but we were really close to the border of the Tokyo South
mission, so we went there and stood by the bridge. It wasn't our most
productive day...but very eventful.
In transfer news...I'm getting a NEW COMPANION. Her name is sister
Hall. I talked to Snow shimai. She says that she is really sweet.
Also our zone has changed. We are now in Tokyo West zone. So I have
new zone leaders. Elder Lee is still in my ward, but I think Elder
Burgin is going to Koiwa. Callister shimai and Murdock shimai are
staying in Senzokuike in our apartment. And then Elder Loftgreen, who
was Elder Tuttle's (my district leader) trainee is going to be
finishing up his training with Elder Day. Yeah so now there are 2
"Day"s in our district. I met this Elder Day at the MTC because he was my kohai
and I was like "Hey cousin Day"...so even though I don't know him at
all...it's kind of my dorky joke with him. Haha.
Elder Tuttle is going to be a zone leader in CHIBA, my old
zone! So it is fun stuff! Should be an exciting
transfer. I'm definitely pumped. I talked to
Taneda shimai on the phone today. She says she is staying in Oyama and
training a new missionary. She is going home in April so that is kind
of sad. Also, my first sister training leader, Nagamine shimai is going home
this week. So that is very sad. It makes me realize how fast a mission
goes.
Anyways. I love you guys alot. I'm sorry I've been bad with writing
lately.
Love, Goose
